Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Later application ("Later", "the app", "we", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Later, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

Later is an iOS read-it-later application that allows you to save, organize, and read web content. The app offers both free and premium features through Later Pro subscriptions and one-time purchases.

2. Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial of all Later Pro features upon first install. The trial begins automatically when you complete the onboarding process. No payment information is required to start the trial. After the trial period ends, Pro features will be restricted until you subscribe or make a one-time purchase.

3. Later Pro — Subscription & Purchase

Later Pro unlocks the following premium features:

• AI-powered article summaries and smart tags
• Agentic AI-powered search
• iCloud multi-device synchronization

Later Pro is available through the following plans:

• Monthly Subscription: $0.99 USD per month, billed monthly
• Yearly Subscription: $4.99 USD per year, billed annually
• Lifetime Purchase: $9.99 USD one-time payment, unlocks Pro features permanently

4. Payment & Billing

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the same price as the current plan.
• Prices are in USD. Actual charges may vary by region based on Apple's currency conversion.

5. Managing & Canceling Subscriptions

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or through the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Pro features until the end of the paid period.

Lifetime purchases are non-recurring and do not require cancellation.

6. Refunds

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple's Report a Problem page. We do not process refunds directly, as Apple manages all payment transactions.

7. Free Features

The following features are always available, even without a Later Pro subscription:

• Saving unlimited links
• Reading links via Safari or the built-in reader
• Archiving and organizing collections
• Local search and tag-based filtering
• Share Extension for saving links from other apps

8. User Content

You retain full ownership of all content you save to Later. We do not claim any rights to your saved links, articles, tags, or notes. All content is stored locally on your device and, if enabled, synced via Apple's iCloud.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to circumvent the app's subscription or trial mechanisms
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Later is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. AI features (summaries, tags, search) are generated by machine learning models and may not always be accurate.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
